This Privacy Policy describes how Timber tech, MB (registration number: 307628092) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Timbero mobile application ("App").

Information we collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide the functionality of the application.
2.1. Account Information
Required: Name, email address, password (via Firebase Authentication)
Optional: Date of birth, profile photo
Automatic: Account creation date, language preference
Authentication: Email/password or Google Sign-In (name, email, profile photo only)
2.2. Operational Data Entered by Users
All operational data is entered manually by you:
Locations, vehicles, senders, receivers, wood types
Load data: measurements, photos, documents, status, dates, notes
Files: Photos (JPEG/PNG/WebP, max 10MB), PDFs (licenses/certificates, max 5MB)
2.3. Technical data
Minimal technical data for app functionality:
Device type and OS version
App version
Error logs and crash reports
2.4. Data we do not collect
No GPS tracking (all locations manually entered)
No contacts access
No advertising or tracking identifiers
No browsing history
How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide and improve the App:
Account management and authentication
Store operational data and generate PDF documents
Enable offline functionality with cloud synchronization
Send transactional emails (verification codes, password resets, account deletion)
Respond to support inquiries
Fix bugs and improve performance
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
Data storage and security
4.1. Where Data is Stored
Cloud Storage (Firebase/Google Cloud):
Firestore & Storage: europe-west1 (EU - Belgium) - all user data stored here
Authentication: Global service
Functions: us-central1 (US) - compute only, no data storage
Local Storage:
SQLite database and files on your device
Protected by device OS security
4.2 Security Measures
HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmission
Firebase Authentication with secure password hashing
Firestore security rules (you can only access your own data)
App-specific secure storage
Passwords never stored in plaintext
No system is absolutely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.
Data retention
Active accounts: Data stored while your account is active.
Account deletion: When you delete your account (Profile → Settings → Delete Account):
Authentication account deleted immediately
All data (loads, templates, photos) permanently deleted immediately
Email becomes available for new registrations immediately
Inactive accounts: Accounts inactive for 2+ years may be deleted after 30 days notice.

We never sell your personal data.

Essential infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf:

6.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose data if required by law or court order.
Your data rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the following rights:
Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Rectification: Correct inaccurate data (in-app or contact us)
Erasure: Delete your account anytime (Profile → Settings → Delete Account)
Data Portability: Request your data in CSV or JSON format - contact info@timbero.co (provided within 30 days)
Restriction: Request we limit how we process your data
Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
Withdraw Consent: Opt out of non-essential notifications (Settings → Notifications)
To exercise these rights: Contact info@timbero.co or use in-app features where available.
Response time: 30 days.
7.1 How to delete your account
You can permanently delete your Timbero account at any time directly from the app.
Deletion Steps:
Open the Timbero app on your device
Navigate to: Profile → Settings → Delete Account
Confirm the deletion when prompted
What Gets Deleted:
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed immediately:
Your account information (name, email, profile photo)
All timber loads and measurements
All photos and documents
All templates (locations, vehicles, senders, receivers)
All waybill PDFs
This action cannot be undone. Your data is completely removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.

Children's privacy
Timbero is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we discover data from a user under 16, we will delete it immediately.
International data transfers
Your data may be processed outside the EU by our service providers (Google, Resend). All transfers comply with GDPR through EU Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions.
10. Cookies and tracking
The App does not use cookies or third-party tracking.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. Changes communicated via in-app notification or email (for material changes). Continued use constitutes acceptance.
